Northland Lutheran Church

The Town of Harrison held its regular monthly meeting at Northland Church on Monday, Nov. 10, at Northland Lutheran Church.

Chairman Dean Lashua called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Board members present included Mike Schultz, John Phillips, Carrie Powell, Brandon Schuster, Brian Powell, and Megan Guzman. The Clerk’s minutes from the previous meeting were read, and a motion to accept the minutes was made by Mike Schultz and seconded by John Phillips. The motion carried.

The Treasurer’s report detailed the town’s finances for the previous month. The beginning balance on Oct. 1, was $63,565.16. Deposits for the month totaled $30,292.76, while total expenses amounted to $16,862.66, resulting in an ending balance of $76,995.26 as of Oct. 31. Separately, the Money Market account had a balance of $122,561.68 at the start of October. The account earned $15.61 in interest, raising the balance to $122,583.29 by the end of the month.

No old business was discussed during the meeting.

Under new business, John Phillips made a motion, seconded by Mike Schultz, to adopt the proposed 2026 Town Budget of $540,690, which had been previously approved at the public hearing held on Nov. 10. The motion carried. The board also addressed a change in funding for the property tax bill information insert. The County will no longer pay for the insert, and the Board agreed to pay a fee to continue including it with the tax bill.

Calls and concerns received by the Board throughout the month were discussed before adjourning.
