LIFEGUARD COURSE: The Iola-Scandinavia Fitness and Aquatic Center is offering a Red Cross Lifeguarding Course on Friday, May 17, 5-9 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday, May 19, 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. Those interested in a waterfront certification would take that after the class on Sunday. You must attend all classes, dates, and times for certification. Lifeguard age is 15 years or older. Cost is $200.
