WATERCOLOR CLASS: Renowned watercolor artist Carolyn Rosenberger will conduct a painting class at Lessons From the Art in Iola on Monday, Oct. 9, from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Cost is $25. Create a colorful autumn scene of a stream winding its way through the North Woods. Learn techniques of painting water, leaves, etc. Take home a painting ready to be framed. KRISTIAN WELCH: Packer Central published a fantastic article about Kristian Welch’s roots. “When he was 4 or 5 years old, Kristian Welch went trick-or-treating through the streets of his hometown of Iola, Wis., dressed in a Green Bay Packers costume. IOLA-SCANDINAVIA SCHOOL DISTRICT: Iola-Scandinavia Elementary School has an educational assistant position available for the 2023-24 school year. This position will be until December 22, 2023, with the possibility of the position being extended based on student need. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm.
