  • TEACHER OF THE MONTH: Travis Bassett has been named Teacher of the month for the Iola-Scandinavia School District. Congratulations!
  • A PERSONAL TOUCH PET SALON: New clients are being accepted with groomer Kayla in Scandinavia. Call 715-467-0003. On Monday Kayla also has walk-in nail trims from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • VETERANS DAY PROGRAM: Iola-Scandinavia High School will have its Veterans Day Program on Friday, Nov. 11, from 9-10 a.m. in the high school gym. The program is open to the public. There will be a guest speaker, performances from the high school and middle school bands and choirs, as well as readings from students.
  • NEW ICE AGE TRAIL SECTION AT IWSC: A total of 1600 new feet have recently been added to the Ice Age Trail on the Iola Winter Sports Club grounds. In June, another 4,000 feet were added. Together, it’s a new mile of trail for hikers. There were 74 volunteers who worked 1,316 hours. Next year, volunteers will finish the last few hundred yards of the reroute.
