  • BOOK GROUP: The Scandinavia Public Library’s Book Group will discuss Fredrik Backman’s novel “Beartown” at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24. Arrive early to enjoy fika with us starting at 3:40 p.m. (Fika is the Swedish custom of enjoying coffee and sweets with friends.) Copies of “Beartown” are available to check out at the library.   • RESCHEDULED CHRISTMAS CONCERT: The Combined Community Choir will hold its Christmas Concert at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Iola, on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 9 a.m. and at Hitterdahl Lutheran at 10:15 a.m.
  • IOLA VILLAGE LIBRARY: The library is changing its late night to Tuesday starting Jan. 10.
