  • The Waupaca County Beekeepers meet tonight in the Iola Community Center. Bee there are bee square event for local beekeepers!
  • Heck with Groundhog Day, it’s also National Sled Dog Day. Mush!
  • Waupaca Community Arts Hub will be featured Guest Chef at Sliced Pizza Co. in Scandinavia on Feb. 5 between 1-3 p.m. For every 14-inch pizza the organization gets $5 to support local arts.
  • The coronavirus is like Groundhog Day … If you stick your head outside and encounter another person, you get 6 more weeks of quarantine. – Joe Jones
  • Erik Doughty of Ogdensburg was recognized as the Iola Historical Society’s 2021 Docent of the Year. Charles Nordness was recognized for his volunteer efforts. A special Stalwart Member was awarded to Sharon Peterson, a veteran member, supporter, and emeritus board member. Presentations were announced by Cliff Mishler, HIS president. Congratulations to all award recipients!
  • Tom Fucik received the Department of Defense ESGR Patriot Award. He weas nominated to receive the award by Katherine Leaf, a Millstone employee pursuing a Physical Therapy degree under a ROTC funded program. Congratulations Tom!
