
The annual Taste of Norway and Lost Arts fair, sponsored by the Iola Historical Society, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on the society grounds on Depot Street.
Various artisans will demonstrate crafts of rosemaling, rug weaving, woodcarving, and jewelry making. There will also be a Fall Crafts and Gifts Show.
See how Norwegian pastries are made and you can purchase some along with coffee.
The Crystal Café will be present with its world-famous pies and pulled pork sandwiches. Trout Bum Bakery will offer cookies, bread, and pastries for sale.
There will be activities for children in the Old Schoolhouse at 10 a.m.
Of course, all buildings of the society will be open for your touring.
Raffle tickets will be sold at $3 per or two for $5 to help support the society’s projects. Drawing is at 1:45 p.m.
