The Scandinavia Silver Lake District has been awarded a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for lake education and planning.

There will be a kickoff meeting on Saturday, May 22, from 9-10 a.m. in the Memorial Park Trade Show Building in Scandinavia.

A presentation will be made by Onterra Aquatic Ecologist Tim Hoyman. It will include a description of the project’s components, a quick course on general lake ecology, and a breakdown of how the Planning Committee will be involved in the plan’s completion.
