Sarah Thiel, business manager for the Iola-Scandinavia School District, informed the board on Feb. 10 that there are no surprises in the school district’s budget.
For revenues, State Equalization Aid ($1,877,793) was the largest source of revenue received through December. Tax deposits totaling ($1,113,214.50) were deposited in January.
Overall, year-to-date revenues are where we would expect midway through the school year.
For expenditures, Salary and Benefits costs make up the largest portion of the district’s budget, and costs are where we would anticipate them to be midway through the year.
She will continue to monitor budgeted expenditures regularly. Year-to-date expenses are where we would expect them to be at this point in the school year.
