Scandinavia’s Ken Van Dyke, Sr., faces off with Markesan’s Joan Ballweg for the Republican nomination in August for the state’s 14th Senate District, where Luther Olsen retired from after 26 years of service in the state Legislature.
The winner will take on Democrat Joni Anderson of Adams on Nov. 3.
