The Scandinavia Village Board will convene its monthly meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, followed immediately by its annual reorganizational meeting at 5:45 p.m., both in the Community Room of the Scandinavia Municipal Center at 349 North Main Street.

Officials will address routine village operations, including unfinished business on zoning and sewer matters, as well as new items concerning delinquent dog licenses and a contract with the Waupaca Humane Society. They will also review and possibly approve bills, verify cash fund balances, and examine year-to-date financials.

The board will open the monthly session with a call to order and pledge of allegiance, followed by roll call, approval of the April agenda and March minutes, and a period for public comment. All items are scheduled for discussion and possible action.

Immediately afterward, the board will hold its annual reorganizational meeting. Newly elected officials will take the oath of office, and the board will make appointments to several key positions, including president pro tem, clerk, Board of Review, trustee member, Plan Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Library Board, animal control officer, and weed commissioner. Members will also set the date for the Board of Review meeting on May 12 at 5:45 p.m. in the Municipal Center.

The meetings will give village leaders an opportunity to organize for the coming year while continuing to manage ongoing administrative and infrastructure issues facing the small community.

Both sessions are open to the public.
