The Scandinavia Vikings made a powerful statement on Wednesday night, June 5, blanking the Weymont team 7-0 in a makeup game from May 26. The game, shortened to seven innings due to lightning, showcased the Vikings’ dominant pitching and strong offensive performance.
Ben Lee, the winning pitcher, delivered an outstanding performance on the mound, stifling Weymont’s hitters and ensuring they remained scoreless. Weymont’s Luke Schwenn, on the other hand, took the loss, struggling against the Vikings’ relentless batting lineup.
Logan Moe led the charge for Scandinavia, going 3-for-4 and consistently putting pressure on Weymont’s defense. RJ Rosenthal also had a solid game, hitting 2-for-4, while Jesse Dickert contributed with a 1-for-3 effort. The Vikings’ cohesive hitting and strategic plays kept them in control from start to finish.
Despite the loss, Weymont had notable performances from Kaleb Mannd, who went 2-for-4, and both Parker Wilson and Kaden Buchanan, who each went 2-for-3. However, their efforts were not enough to overcome Scandinavia’s dominant display.
The game was called after seven innings due to an approaching lightning storm, but by then, the Vikings had already secured their commanding lead, sealing the victory.
This win underscores the Scandinavia Vikings’ strong position in the Badger Amateur Baseball Association, South Central Division, as they continue their pursuit of excellence in the league.
