The Scandinavia Town Board will convene on Thursday, March 12, at 5:30 p.m. at the Scandinavia Municipal Center to tackle ongoing road maintenance issues, longstanding junk and salvage yard complaints, and preparations for emergency services and town governance.

The board will receive updates on several persistent matters under old business. Discussions will include the Vandyke Junk/Salvage Yard and the Ron Gavin Junk/Salvage Yard, both of which have appeared on prior agendas, along with concerns related to Randy Stuczynski on Oak Ridge Road. Members will review progress on a conditional use permit (CUP) for Knauer. The agenda also features an update on the Iola Ambulance Service’s plans for a new ambulance in 2027, improvements to the Municipal Center parking lot, and scheduling for the annual town meeting set for Tuesday, April 21, at 5:30 p.m.

Infrastructure oversight will continue with reports on the bi-annual bridge inspection, to be conducted by the Waupaca County Highway Department, and the annual road inspection, led by the town chair and Scott Construction.

In new business, the board will set a date for the Board of Review, approve a candidate for a Planning Commission position, and consider a Protect Local Roads Resolution aimed at safeguarding town roadways.

The meeting will open with the Pledge of Allegiance, approval of the agenda, review of the clerk’s minutes and treasurer’s report, and a Planning Commission report. Routine items include road issues, bills, correspondence, and public input limited to three minutes per speaker. Additional discussion will cover backup laptop information before adjournment.
