FOOD RECALL: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has recalled more than 4,000 cases of Ventura Foods dressings and sauces because they may be contaminated with plastic.
The products were distributed to delis, food courts, and food service locations in 27 states
Including Wisconsin. The FDA says the dressings may contain black plastic material originating from contaminated granulated onion. Officials warn that consuming the products could cause internal injury. Read the names of the brands and codes here.
THE VETO GOVERNOR: Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers vetoed nine bills Friday, including a proposal to block public funds for undocumented immigrants’ health care. Other vetoed bills addressed student teaching, the Elections Commission, military recruiters, building codes, emotional support animals, tobacco bar smoking, university data, and local guaranteed income programs. VACCINE AND PERSONAL CONVICTIONS: Wisconsin Democrats Rep. Lisa Subeck and Sen. Chris Larson introduced bills to eliminate the state’s personal conviction exemption for vaccinations.
