Later in the day, the bARRe class takes place at 5 p.m. at the same fitness center.
Sports enthusiasts can catch the Iola-Scandinavia Middle School Girls Basketball game against Bonduel at 5:15 p.m. Additionally, the Iola-Scandinavia High School JV2 Girls Basketball team is playing at Wittenberg-Birnamwood at 5:45 p.m.
In the evening, the Village of Scandinavia holds a Caucus at the Scandinavia Municipal Center at 6 p.m. Other notable events include the Town of Harrison Board meeting at Northland Lutheran Church at 6:30 p.m., the School District of Iola-Scandinavia Board meeting at the Elementary School Library at 7 p.m., and a Friends of Scandinavia History meeting at the Scandinavia Municipal Center at 7 p.m.

Activities kick off with Quilting at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at 8 a.m. Early risers can also join Water Aerobics at the I-S Fitness & Aquatic Center at 9 a.m. The morning continues with another session of the Strong Bones class at 10:30 a.m. at the same fitness center.

The weekend starts with events like Sit-n-Stitch at Iola Village Library at 2 p.m., Family Friday at Iola Village Library where participants can make paper snowflakes at 2:30 p.m., and Come Craft with Us at Iola Village Library at 5 p.m. Sports enthusiasts can catch the Iola-Scandinavia High School JV & Varsity Girls Basketball game at Bonduel’s new high school gym at 5:45 p.m. Evening entertainment includes a Pool Singles Tournament at Northland Sports Bar & Grill at 6 p.m., featuring a $10 entry fee and luck of the draw format. Later, Scott Dercks & Tom Washatka perform at Odin & Freja’s Place at 7:30 p.m.
January 13
Early risers can enjoy an Adult Swim session at I-S Fitness & Aquatic Center from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The day continues with the 1st Annual Happy Daaze Bar and Grill Squirrel Contest at 2 p.m., featuring a 2-person entry for $25, with 50-50 raffle proceeds benefiting the Scandinavia Snowmobile Club. The day concludes with a musical performance by Cody James at Odin & Freja’s Place at 7:30 p.m. Additionally, there’s a Confirmation Class Lock-in starting at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at 4:30 p.m. on January 13, lasting until 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 14.
