Robert John Olson

Robert John Olson passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, at Kindred Hearts Assisted Living in Clintonville, Wisconsin.

Bob was born in Juneau, Wisconsin, on May 2, 1939, and adopted as an infant by Alfred and Lorraine Olson of Iola, Wisconsin.

Bob graduated from Iola High School and lived a full life. He married Judy Zadick, who preceded him in death at an early age. He then married Judy Kuschel and had two daughters. After their divorce, he made a family with Barbara Schuelke who also preceded him in death.

He loved telling stories to his grand and great grandchildren, joking with his family and friends, gardening, farming, watching Wisconsin sports teams, reading, and tinkering. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, generous spirit, quiet strength, and faith. He inspired everyone around him with his work ethic, kindness, and love that knew no limits.

Bob is survived by his sister, Sharon Miller; brother, Mark (Michelle) Olson; children: Ginny Olson, Heidi (Tom) Hintz, Colleen Schuelke, Debby (Randy) Hakala, Greg (Pam) Schuelke, Jeff (Debbie) Schuelke, Amy Leon (John Beghuis), Gina Pahl (Ryan Clinton); grandchildren: Laura, Margaret, Landen, Bradley, Brett, Bobby Jo, Leandro, Destiny, Desiree, Anna, Barbara, Sasha, Enrique, and Leo; great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Wesley, Eliza, Blake, Elise, Dakota, Makala, Sophia, Luka, Mika, Leandro, VeraLynn, and Wrenley. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald and Aulden; and sister, Dorothy.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at the Community Center in the Village of Bear Creek. Please feel free to come and share fellowship and stories.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kindred Hearts Assisted Living and Unity Hospice.

The family wishes to thank the incredible staff at Kindred Hearts, especially Kathy and Sherry who treated him like family, and Unity Hospice staff who were so kind, caring and supportive especially Leah, nurse, Heather, health aid, Tammy, social worker and Nicole, chaplain.
