Spring weight limit restrictions will begin Monday, March 8, at 12:01 a.m., according to Casey Beyersdorf, highway commissioner for Waupaca County Highway Department

When the highways become firm, the Spring weight limit restrictions will be lifted.

Permit forms, maps and additional information can be found at www.co.waupaca.wi.us/highway in the left tool bar. The seasonal weight restriction will be six-ton load for a single axle vehicle and ten-ton load for a tandem axle vehicle.

These Spring weight limitations will be enforced pursuant to Section 349.16 of the Wisconsin Statutes.

The highway department requests all parties involved to abide by these limits in order to protect and preserve the structural capacities of the County Trunk Highway System.
