Village of Iola hires Scott Bestul & Associates

At the June 6 Village of Iola Community Development Authority meeting, Village president Jennifer Shustek wants to go forward with hiring Scott Bestul & Associates to start repair work on the River Walk. Scott gave an estimate of $7,000 to use the Timber Lock System on the East end of the walk. Norm Mortenson made a motion to allow Scott to begin repair using the Timber Lock System, and Mark McCoy seconded. The motion passed.

Scott gave an estimate of $2,000 to start replacing the boards on the East end. McCoy made a motion to start replacing boards on the East side of the River Walk, Mortenson seconded. The motion passed.

Shustek is going to get a mockup design for the updated Welcome to Iola sign on 161 and silo South of town.

The next meeting for the CDA will be on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 5 p.m.
