Richard A. Hansen

March 14, 1952 – February 9, 2023

Richard A. Hansen, age 70, of Iola, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born on March 14,1952, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late George and Edna (Carlson) Hansen.

Richard Married Cindy Schuppe on Sept. 27,1986, in Elmwood Park, Illinois.

Richard graduated from Northern Illinois University with degrees in Business and Finance. In 1998 the family moved to Wisconsin where Richard started a business with his father-in-law.

Richard enjoyed fishing and camping with his sons and friends, cooking for a crowd and sitting around bonfires underneath the stars sharing memories and laughter. There was never a dull moment when Richard was around.

Survivors include his wife Cindy of 36 years; children Eric (Karla) of Spring Grove Minnesota, Matthew, William (Courtney) of Iola Wisconsin; grandchildren Morgan and Timothy; nephew Jason (Becky) Hansen Downers Grove, Illinois; niece Cindy (Josh) Melum of Cibolo, Texas; great-niece Carlie; great-nephew Cole; And father-in-law Russ Schuppe of Iola.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Hansen, mother-in-law Kay Schuppe, and brother-in-law Russell Schuppe.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
