The Iola-Scandinavia Girls Softball Team will be hosting its very popular RIB FEST dinner on Sunday, March 1, at Silver Lake Lanes in Scandinavia. Dinners will be served from 1-5 p.m. We will offer both dine-in and carry-out dinners.

This will be our 21st Rib Fest dinner. This year, we will be offering a full-rack rib dinner for $30. We again will use the same ribs we used last year: a pre-cooked, smoked St. Louis-style pork spare rib. The response we got from last year’s ribs was excellent!

All dinners will be served in to-go containers, but you may dine in or carry out. Besides the full rack of ribs, the menu will include a baked potato, baked beans, coleslaw, fresh bread, and a chocolate brownie dessert.

We would highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance. We served just over 400

dinners each of the past few years, which is very close to selling out. Tickets may be purchased in the high school or elementary offices, or from any softball player, or at Silver Lake Lanes. Tickets may also be purchased by calling 715-445-2411, Ext. 5000, and leaving a message or by emailing andersont@iola.k12.wi.us.

Money raised will help pay for the softball team’s spring training trip to Florida in April. We will also have raffle basket drawings.

We greatly appreciate the support of the communities of Iola and Scandinavia, and the surrounding areas, which have shown to our Rib Fest dinner and our softball program!
