U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Green Bay) announced he will not serve the next term in office.
Hours after the announcement, Roger Roth announced his candidacy for the office. Also interested in the position is Alex Bruesewitz of West Palm Beach, Florida, who is originally from Ripon, Wisconsin.
“Gallagher told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel he will leave Congress at the end of his current term to enter the private sector and spend more time with his young family. He said his future work will be in-line with his national security goals and focus on defense policy,” printed the Green Bay Press Gazette.
