Raymond Joseph Peotter

July 27, 1931 – May 11, 2026

Raymond Joseph Peotter, 94, of Iola, Wisconsin, formerly of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

He was born on July 27, 1931, in Seymour, Wisconsin, to the late Frank and Margaret (Marnocha) Peotter.

Raymond married Dorothy (Langdok) Peotter in 1952 in Michigan. Raymond served in the United States Marines from 1952-54.

He had a career as a Steamfitter with Local Union 400 out of Appleton since 1956.

Ray and Dorothy had 73 years together with many adventures. They enjoyed traveling the US with kids in tow. In retirement, they spent winters in Texas in their motorhome. The weekends were for the family cottage next to the Little Wolf River. Ray enjoyed the outdoors with his motorcycles and teaching all the kids to ride. He rode his ATV in the woods, totaling over 19,000 miles on his machine. Winters were his time to make things in his basement, from minibikes to guns to remote control boats. His pride and joy was his remote-control Tugboat. Summers were the time to play with the items he made. He looked forward to campfires, Old Fashions, and overcooked steaks with family.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, John (Katherine) Peotter, Patricia Krueger, Sandra Beltz, Robin (Cameron) Lafky, and Ted (Joanne) Peotter; along with 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Peotter, and son-in-law, Ronald Krueger.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. Interment of cremains will be in Seymour, Wisconsin.
