Randy Byron Rosenberger obituary

Randy Byron Rosenberger

July 2, 1946 – September 27, 2024

Randy Byron Rosenberger, 78, of Iola, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024.

He was born to the late Andrew Rosenberger and Hattie (Rhoades) Rosenberger in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, on July 2, 1946.

Growing up, he attended school in New Lisbon, Wisconsin, alongside his brother Terry Nanstad. He dedicated eight years to the Army Reserves.

He started teaching in Iola-Scandinavia schools in 1967, where later that year he met the love of his life Carolyn. They married the following year on Aug. 3, 1968.

They later welcomed a baby girl, Shiloh.

During his 35 years of teaching, he coached several sports, started the safety patrol program, and took on administrative roles. Randy loved playing pool and actively participated in pool league. He also had a passion for music and all things Elvis, which showed in his many years of being a DJ.

In retirement, he discovered a love of nature photography. The photos he captured gathered enough attention on Fine Art America, that he was invited to become an administrator, which he carried through with pride until his final months.

He is survived by his Wife: Carolyn of 56 years, daughter Shiloh Rosenberger, grandchildren Jonah and Reya, and brother Terry Nanstad.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friends, former colleagues, and students are invited to come together to honor Randy’s memory and share fond stories and memories. May Randy’s memory live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him, a cherished teacher, husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
