The Town of Scandinavia Plan Commission will meet on Wednesday, May 3, to recommend the approval or denial of the Faulks Bros. application for a sand mine on Iola Car Show property.

On Wednesday, May 10, the Board will meet to recommend the Plan Commission’s recommendation of approval or denial. That recommendation will then be sent to Waupaca County Zoning for its decision.

What do the Plan Commission and the Town Board base their recommendations upon?

The Town Recommendation Form, Page 2, lists the following questions:

• What are the existing uses(s) of adjacent lands to this parcel and are they compatible?
• Is the proposal consistent with the Town Comprehensive Plan?
• Is the proposal consistent with the Town Goals, Objectives & Development Strategies in the Town Comprehensive Plan? (Please give detailed information including page numbers from the comprehensive plan supporting the recommendation). Explain.

The form also asks the Town Board to:

• If Applicable, please list recommended conditions for the Waupaca County Planning & Zoning Committee to consider.
• Please attach any additional comments, minutes, or information further supporting the recommendation.
