Patricia L. Fischer

November 16, 1938 – February 8, 2026

Patricia L. Fischer, 87, of Iola, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at Bethany Home in Waupaca, Wisconsin.

She was born on Nov. 16, 1938, in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Patricia married George Fischer on Oct. 26, 1957, in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 2025

Pat was a devoted wife and mother. She came from a very close-knit family and instilled strong family values in her children. There were many family gatherings as George and Pat both loved spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, card parties (sheepshead and cribbage), estate sales, and an occasional visit to a casino. When their children were growing up, there were annual vacations up north. She and George did some traveling and especially enjoyed the out west. Pat worked various jobs as her children grew and retired from a 23-year career with Krause Publications.

She is survived by her children: Guy (Jan) Fischer, Chris Williams, Steve (Pam Wroblewski) Fischer, Jane (Roger Nelson) Fischer, Maureen (Todd) Gunderson, and Kurt (Heidi) Fischer. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Andrew Fischer, Nathan (Jen) Williams, Kyle (Brooke) Williams, Casey Fischer, Dustin (Amy Jo) Nelson, Alyssa (Shane) Carper, Laura (Justin) Mork, Luke (Tiffany) Gunderson, Chad (Payton) Gunderson, Amelia Fischer and Madeline Fischer; great-grandchildren, Landon, Lincoln, Lawsen and Victor Fischer, Levi Gocha, Maggie and Lizzy Williams, Audrey and Riley Williams, Hailey and Nash Fischer, Jax and George Nelson, Holden and Payson Carper, Bentley Bryan, Magnum and Jetta Mork, Jace and Cade Gunderson, Jaxon, Archer and Eli Gunderson; along with her sister Carmen (Glenn) TerMaat. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, Marianne Picard, Donna Picard, Gayle Picard, and Laurel Fischer, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey (Carpenter) Brachman, son-in-law Kit Williams, daughter-in-law Mary (Guillen) Fischer, siblings Jack Picard, Virginia Behr (her husband DeLyle), Jerry Picard, David Picard, and Judy Cherveny (her husband Mike).

A Public Visitation will be held at the Voie Funeral Home, 120 S. Main Street in Iola on Sunday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. followed by a private family service. Interment of cremains will be at the Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery.
