Since 2008, the Rotary Club of Waupaca has given dictionaries to 3rd Grade students at Waupaca, Iola-Scandanavia, Weyauega-Fremont, local private schools, and the home schooled.

This year, the club gave out nearly 250 dictionaries, bringing the total number of students who’ve received a dictionary to more than 3000!

“Supporting education has been at the heart of our focus from the very beginning,” said Wes Klages, chair of the club’s Vocational Service Committee. “Providing children with dictionaries of their own improves literacy, expands vocabularies, and equips them to learn.”
