The Central Wisconsin Conference has recognized several standout athletes from Iola-Scandinavia High School across multiple sports, highlighting their exceptional performances in the 2023-24 season. The accolades span softball, baseball, and track and field, showcasing the diverse talents of the school’s athletes.

Softball Dominance

In softball, Brooklyn Berrens emerged as a star, earning a unanimous First Team All-Conference selection. Her remarkable performance throughout the season solidified her status as one of the top players in the league. Joining her on the First Team is Julia Munoz, whose consistent contributions were crucial to the team’s success. Additionally, Myah Heschke and Brylee Jueds received Honorable Mentions, demonstrating the depth of talent within the Iola-Scandinavia softball program.

Baseball Standouts

The baseball team also had several players recognized for their contributions. Owen Wolberg was named to the Second Team All-Conference, a testament to his skill and impact on the field. Honorable Mentions went to Gavin Hoyord, Carter Melum, and Alek Rogalla, reflecting their significant roles in the team’s performance this season.

Track & Field Excellence

Iola-Scandinavia’s track and field athletes delivered outstanding results, particularly in distance and hurdles events. Charlie Vater stood out by winning the Conference Championship in both the 1600m and 3200m races, and he secured a Second Team spot in the 800m. Jensen Rice demonstrated versatility and speed, claiming first place in the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles, and second place in the 100m dash.

The school’s 4x100m relay team, consisting of Aiden Bowen, Ryan Kampert, Billy Myers, and Izyck Olson, earned a second-place finish, showcasing their teamwork and speed. In field events, Weston Knorr received an Honorable Mention in shot put, and Izyck Loken also garnered an Honorable Mention, highlighting their prowess in these disciplines.
