With the Winter Olympics now underway, did you know that several US Olympic Ski Jump athletes jumped at Iola when they were younger?! VanDyke’s bar at 335 North Main Street in the Village of Scandinavia has been purchased and will be renamed Odin & Freja’s Place. Carol and Gordon will be remodeling the interior and the venue will reopen as a bar with music in late Spring. It is being billed as “A welcoming & creative place to meet, enjoy music and socialize.”
Jodi Ketchum has declared for the write-in position for the Waupaca County Board of Supervisors representing the towns of Iola, Harrison, Helvetia, and Wyoming. Jodi is a currently resident of the Town of Iola.
N95 masks are available for residents in the Scandinavia Public Library vestibule when the Scandinavia Municipal Center and library is open.
