  • The Shivers staff announces that on April 30 it will be opening for the season.
  • The Marbin Show on April 9 at LittleWolf Gallery in downtown Iola will be limited to 40 persons, there will be a recommended donation of $10 at the door, and there are no reservations. There will be a nice hand-blown glass vessel at the door for the door fee. The event starts at 5 p.m.
  • Iola’s Terry Murphy is not seeking reelection to the Waupaca County Board. He has represented wards in the Village of Iola and the Towns of Iola and Scandinavia since 2006. Rick Ertl is running unopposed for the position.
  • Running unopposed for the Waupaca County Board is incumbent James Nygaard, who represents the Village of Iola and wards in the Townships of Farmington and St. Lawrence.
