In a recent appointment, Connor Drath has joined the Iola-Scandinavia School District as a 4th grade teacher, adding a fresh perspective to the educational team.

A native of Ogdensburg, Wisconsin, Drath’s roots in the local community are deep. Having attended Iola-Scandinavia Elementary and High School, as well as the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, he brings a well-rounded educational background to his role.

When asked about his motivations for pursuing a career in education, Drath reflected on the profound impact that certain teachers had on his own life. “I’ve been fortunate to have teachers who made a significant difference in my life, and I wanted to pay that forward to future generations,” he explained.

Beyond the classroom, Drath’s interests and hobbies are as diverse as they are engaging. An outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting and fishing, activities that allow him to connect with nature. Additionally, he’s a passionate sports enthusiast, with a particular love for football, basketball, and baseball. His loyalty lies with local teams, as he cheers on the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Milwaukee Bucks.

Regarding his decision to return to the Iola-Scandinavia School District, Drath’s ties run deep. As an alumnus, he holds a personal connection to the district and a desire to make an impact, mirroring the influence his own teachers had on him.

With a dynamic range of interests, a dedication to education, and a strong tie to his community, Connor Drath is poised to become a valuable asset to the Iola-Scandinavia School District.
