LinkedIn has the following information about the owners, Krista and Jim Mendyke. It is information that is repeated on the firm’s website.

Jim and Krista Mendyke

Krista Mendyke operating as the President and Founder, with her husband Jim Mendyke, Chief Operating Officer, own and operate Copperleaf Senior Living, based in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
With more than 25 years’ experience, Jim and Krista prioritize their management style by encouraging and developing higher leadership skills such as; communication, motivation, and commitment.
As an 11-year-old girl growing up on the Northside of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Krista was introduced to a gentleman, named Leo who lived at the high-rise senior housing development just a few blocks from her home. As Krista got more acquainted with Leo, through stopping in to help out with household chores, errands, playing cards and going for walks… others in the building started requesting she pick up a few things from Bobs Food King for them as well. The requests for chore services and errands started to get so demanding she enlisted the help of her younger sister, Tina and a second red wagon.
It was evident that seniors in the area needed the companionship and commitment to lending a hand when needed. Krista started to assist, coordinate, and facilitate any kind of private supportive care needs from companionship and chore services to end of life hospice care.
In 1992 Krista started ADL Home Health Care which quickly grew into the surrounding counties. In 1998 she married the love of her life Jim Mendyke Jr., a Sentry Insurance Sales Representative who also grew up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. In 1999 Jim and Krista build their first Assisted Living Home, North Haven, and over the next 10 years build and acquired fifteen more senior care facilities while starting and raising a family of four children. Jim retired his 25-year career at Sentry in 2008 and stayed home enjoying the privilege of raising the children for a few years before joining Krista in 2012 and developing Copperleaf into its growth of today.
Jim and Krista share in a company-wide vision of creative thinking and innovative entrepreneurship. Keeping progress, a forefront objective, Jim and Krista aim to challenge traditional modes of service and evolve with the ever-changing needs of the senior care industry. They are active community member and have served as Board Members at the Stevens Point Area YMCA Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Portage County, UWSP Foundation and Town of Hull Parks Commission.
Our passionate and dedicated Copperleaf Care team members uphold our long-standing standard of excellence, “…a better place, a better life, for everyone today!”
