CROSS COUNTRY SECTIONALS: The Iola-Scandinavia High School varsity cross-country athletes are gearing up for the Sectional meet this Saturday, Oct. 25, held at Meadow Links Golf Course, located at 1540 Johnston Dr., Manitowoc. The varsity boys’ race will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by the varsity girls’ race at 12:30 p.m. The top two boys’ and girls’ teams, along with the five fastest individual runners in each category, will qualify to move on to the state competition.

MOBILE SPORTS WAGERING: Wisconsin lawmakers are proposing a law that would allow mobile sports wagering across the state through the state’s current tribal operators. The law would allow for a similar sports wagering model as Florida where the state’s sportsbook operators have servers on federally recognized tribal lands while users can be in the state of Wisconsin.
