• CWEC DONATION: A $300 donation was made to the Scandinavia Food Pantry by Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative from Operation Round Up Trust Board Member Bonnie Paulson. The funds came from the CWEC Operation Round Up program. Funds in the CWEC Operation Round Up program come from the generous donations of CWEC members who elect to have their electric bills rounded up to the next highest dollar each month.

• SOFTBALL FUNDRAISER: The Iola-Scandinavia High School softball team is selling raffle tickets to fund their transportation costs for Spring Training. Tickets are $50 each and only 200 will be sold. First place $1,000, second $500, third $250, fourth $100, fifth $100, sixth through 11^th $50 each. Contact the high school for purchase of tickets.

• Iola native and resident Captain John Helgeson of the Waupaca Police Department has retired after 30 years of public service. Thank you for all that you have done to serve and protect, it is appreciated!

• 2023 NORWEGIAN SUPPER CANCELLED: There will be no Lutefisk Supper during the Iola Winter Carnival in February 2023. Reason: Increased costs of supplies that would increase ticket cost. The event also needs about 100 volunteers.

• JORGENS PARK GIFT: Cellcom has given a $750 Green Gift to Jorgens Park Preserve in Scandinavia. Funds will be used to remove buckthorn and for plantings to attract and support butterflies.

• FRIENDS WITH CRAFTS: Dec. 3, crafts available from local crafters, N7999 Aanstad Road, Iola, featuring crafts by Marie Skowen, Chris Aasen, Jill Willems, Diane Newby, Stacy Bestul, and Sophie Forbes, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
