TRANSPARENT HOSPITAL COSTS: Wisconsin hospitals could soon be forced to post information online to give patients an idea of the cost of common services. LRB-1381 would require hospitals to publish standard service charges on a “prominent location” on the home pages of their websites, and must include certain information, including a description of each item or service provided.
Additionally, the list must be available free of charge and without requiring a user account log-in.
