TOWN OF IOLA: Notice of Town Caucus to the electors of the Town of Iola, in the County of Waupaca, in the State of Wisconsin, that a Town Caucus will be held at the Iola Town Hall on Jan. 2, 2025, at 5 p.m. to nominate candidates for the different town offices to be voted for at the Town Election on April 1, 2025. TOURISM JOBS IN WAUPACA COUNTY: The Badger Institute recently published a story about the 2023 Wisconsin tourism report by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. Waupaca County generates 6.11 percent of its jobs from tourism. Tourism generated over $25 billion in economic activity and supported 178,000 jobs statewide in 2023. The agency credits the industry as resulting in more than $1.6 billion in state and local tax revenue. Read the story here.
