Marge Ostrowski
January 22, 1933 – March 27, 2024
Marge Ostrowski, Iola, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the age of 91.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1933, the daughter of David and Lucy (Rybicki) Omernik.
Marge grew up in Rosholt, Wisconsin, and married Henry Ostrowski on June 10, 1950, at St. Adalbert’s Church in Rosholt. Marge and Henry later moved their family to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
In 1971, they purchased a farm in Amherst, Wisconsin. Henry ran the farm and Marge worked at the Holiday Inn. They later bought Flambeau Tavern in Rosholt. Years later, they sold the bar and Marge worked at Amherst Family Foods.
When Marge retired, they moved to Iola. Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on Nov. 11, 2003.
Marge enjoyed spending time with her family, especially cooking for her grandchildren and had a devotion to animals. She loved walking and playing with her dogs. When it came time to move to The Nest/Willows, she was grateful for all the family and dogs that regularly came to spend time with her.
Marge will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Marge is survived by four children, Sandy (Dan) Yenter, Barb Ostrowski, Kenny Ostrowski, and Kathy (Randy) Budsberg. Marge leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and many more family members.
Marge is proceeded in death by her husband Henry Ostrowski; her parents David and Lucy Omernik; her two sons Richard (Bernie) Ostrowski and Allen Ostrowski; her sisters Mary (Verne) Schmidt, Vicki (Ralph) Tuskowski, and Sophie (Herny) Koziczkowski; her brother Joseph (Carolyn) Omernik; and many more family members who have passed.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Nest Senior Living/The Willows, Heartland Hospice, and Aspirus Iola Clinic for their wonderful care of Marge.
A private service will be held.
