The Scandinavia Vikings fell to Winneconne 7-4 in an intense showdown at Winneconne on Sunday, July 28. Winneconne’s Sterling Lutz pitched a complete game, securing the win and showcasing his dominance on the mound.
Lutz’s performance was complemented by strong hitting from Winneconne’s lineup. Wyatt led the charge, going 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs, while Jared Danke added to the offensive effort with a 2-for-4 performance and an RBI.
Scandinavia’s Gus Turner-Zick tried to keep his team in the game with a powerful 2-run homer in the top of the fifth inning, finishing 2-for-5. Landon Moe also contributed with a solid 2-for-4 outing, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Winneconne’s steady offense and Lutz’s masterful pitching.
Carter Rhode took the loss for the Vikings.
