LouAnn Jean Snyder obituary

LouAnn Jean Snyder

May 6, 1955 – July 26, 2023

LouAnn Jean Snyder (Peterson) passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, under the loyal and watchful care of her sons and their wives.

She was born on May 6, 1955, to Vernon and Nancy Peterson, the second of seven children. She was raised on the family farm in Iola, Wisconsin, quickly developing her skills as a hardworking homemaker. She grew to love gardening, cooking, sewing, and making floral arrangements, things she was known for throughout her life.

LouAnn married her late husband, Robert Snyder, on June 24, 1972, and together they raised two wonderful boys, Jesse and Caleb.

Family and friends remember LouAnn for her unwavering faithfulness to Jehovah our God. She symbolized her dedication to Jehovah by baptism on May 31, 1971, and remained loyal to him throughout every trial she faced. Her steadfastness and determination to endure with joy was seen in her devoted caregiving of both her husband and mother in their times of need, as well as through her own multiple courageous battles with cancer.

LouAnn had unshakable faith in all of God’s amazing promises for the future. This faith motivated her to always make time to teach others the wonderful truths found in the Bible. We know she would want us to find comfort in knowing that we will see her again soon in paradise, enjoying her love of flowers, gardening and cooking in perfect health, on a perfect earth. Her prayer is to be resurrected on the same day as Robert, a very special reunion we can all hope to witness!

LouAnn is preceded in death by her devoted husband Robert Snyder and her loving father Vernon Peterson. She is survived by her faithful mother Nancy Peterson; her two brothers and four sisters; her sons Jesse (Alicia) Snyder and Caleb (Chery, Olive, and Elliette) Snyder; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
