In a wonderful display of community spirit, the Iola-Scandinavia Chamber announced the winners of the 2023 Taste & Tunes event, which saw participants rallying behind local businesses and live music. The event, which attracted a substantial number of attendees, recently concluded with a heartwarming celebration of the winners.
The grand prize, a collection of certificates from all participating venues, was awarded to Jim Lashua from Iola. This top-tier prize not only represents his dedication to exploring the variety of tastes and tunes the event had to offer but also highlights the importance of community engagement.
Sherri Lashua, also hailing from Iola, emerged as the recipient of the $100 in Chamber Bucks. Her commitment to supporting local enterprises and live music was aptly rewarded through this gesture.
Tracie Budd and Mary Mork, both from Iola and Scandinavia respectively, secured their places as winners by receiving $50 in Chamber Bucks each.
Further adding to the list of winners, the event bestowed $20 in Chamber Bucks upon Vicky Koss from Scandinavia, Ann Forseth from Iola, Jessie Anderson from Rosholt, Dan Dane from Iola, Denny Matson from Iola, Tana Verhalen from Waupaca, Scott Kinkade from Iola, Matt Marcy from Iola, Barb Kobs from Iola, and Krystal Stevens from Scandinavia.
