Lake Iola Lake District Commissioners will meet on Thursday, April 2, at 6 p.m. at Iola Village Hall to discuss and potentially adopt a budget recommendation for the 2026-27 fiscal year and a tax levy for 2026. The board will also set the date, time, and location for its annual meeting and adopt an agenda for that gathering.

Under the budget item, commissioners will specifically discuss competitive wages for the harvester operator.

The meeting will open with a call to order, followed by approval of the agenda. Officials will then hear the secretary’s report, treasurer’s report and chairman’s report. Commissioners plan to consider nominations for a three-year board position. They will also address any other business that may legally come before the board before adjourning.

The session will allow the Lake Iola Lake District to prepare key financial decisions and governance matters for the upcoming year.
