The quarterly board meeting for the Lake Iola Lake District was held on Tuesday, April 27.
The board approved a budget of $63,461 for the 2021-22 fiscal year, which is supported by a 2021 tax levy of $43,652.
Lyle Nauman’s three-year term as a board commissioner is up for election this year, and the board nominated him to run again.
The annual meeting to approve the budget, the levy and elect a commissioner will be held at the lower shelter by Taylor Field in Iola, starting 10 a.m. Saturday, June 5. All eligible voters within the district can vote, but it must be in-person.
Property owners within the lake district should expect a letter with the details within the next few weeks.
