Kenneth A. Pauer

Kenneth A. Pauer, age 92, of Ogdensburg, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at the Manawa Nursing Home.

He was born on Sept. 12, 1928, in Neenah, Wisconsin, of the late Clarence and Vera (Wagner) Pauer.

Ken served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He married Lou Ann Schloemer on Jan. 22, 1956, in West Bend, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on Aug. 12, 2013.

Ken worked as a salesman for the Johns Manville Company for many years.

He and Lou Ann were avid golfers at the Iola Golf Club for many years. Ken enjoyed sports; watching the Brewers and Packers and playing cribbage with Bob and Janet Riley along with bridge with the ladies at the assisted living center in Waupaca. He especially liked his Newfoundland dogs and was very fond of them. Ken enjoyed nature; feeding the birds and deer on his property and received special recognition for environmental conservation. Ken and Lou Ann also enjoyed cooking and hosting parties; get-together’s at their home with friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his brother Tom (Jane) Putnam of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister on the Pauer side and one brother on the Putnam side.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola. Visitation will be held Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
