Janette “Janet” A. Griffith
September 23, 1938 – July 26, 2020
Janet A. Griffith, 81, of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.
Janet was born in New London, Wisconsin, on Sept. 23, 1938, the daughter of the late Arthur and Regina Fischer. Janet was a graduate of New London High School.
She married the late Charles Griffith on March 23, 1960, in Janesville, Wisconsin, where they resided and raised their family prior to retirement. They were married for 54 years.
During her early years she worked as a beautician. She next worked at the Janesville Hospital, and she finally was employed by and retired from Parker Pen in Janesville.
She and Charlie moved to Iola, Wisconsin, for their retirement years together and upon his death, Janet moved to Stevens Point to be near her children and grandchildren. Janet enjoyed gardening and working outside around her home. She also enjoyed shopping and reading, making cookies, and her church friends and activities. Most of all she enjoyed her beloved children and grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her: Sons Gregory Juddson (special friend, Andrea) Griffith of Edgerton, Wisconsin, Todd (Amy) Griffith of Plover; grandsons Cody (Alexandria) Griffith of Stevens Point, Sam Griffith of St. Paul, Minnesota, Noah Griffith (Birgen Johnson, fiancé) of Stevens Point; great-granddaughter Lucy Grace (Cody and Alexandria).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Griffith, and son, Bradley Griffith.
Gravesidee services will be held at the Park Cemetery in the Town of St. Lawrence, Waupaca County, on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
