Iola welcomes Wisconsin Bluegrass Bash

A weekend of music, camping, and community vibes

The hills of central Wisconsin come alive today as the Wisconsin Bluegrass Bash (WBB) kicks off its three-day celebration of live music, camping, art, and community at the historic Iola Car Show Grounds. Running from July 24-26, the event draws fans from across the Midwest and beyond to enjoy the deep-rooted traditions of bluegrass in a modern, family-friendly festival atmosphere.

Now in its second year, the WBB makes its Iola debut, marking a significant expansion from its inaugural outing. Organizers say the location was chosen for its scenic beauty and its legacy of hosting vibrant community gatherings.

Festivalgoers are greeted with a jam-packed lineup featuring regional and national acts, including crowd favorites Armchair Boogie (Stevens Point), the Bibelhauser Brothers (Louisville, KY), and Chicken Wire Empire (Milwaukee). Local talent such as Third Coast Bluegrass and Beats Working share the stage with artists like Fox Crossing String Band (Chicago) and Ian Moore & Gold Standard (Appleton), offering non-stop tunes from dawn till dusk.

Admission options make the event accessible for all: $100 for a three-day pass, which includes a complimentary rustic campsite, and $40 for a one-day entry. Children 12 and under enjoy tickets at half price.
