The Village of Iola Board will meet Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Iola Village Hall, 180 S. Main St., to discuss road maintenance contracts, public works staffing, and other village operations.
Board members will review multiple bids for 2026 road work, including asphalt replacement, chip sealing, and street crack filling. They will also consider the public works budget and the hiring of a public works position.
In new business, the board plans to act on three operators’ permits for Bailey Scott, Marissa Wanserski, and Nathan Drath, all expiring June 30. Members will address a fee schedule update and administrative matters, such as adding the address of 105 River Road to a specific parcel and granting access through a village easement to the fishing pier at Veterans Park.
The board will consider Scott Schaut’s resignation and take up Resolution 2026-4, a proclamation designating Glenn Tetzlaff Day in the Village of Iola.
Under old business, trustees will receive an update on a contract for Bazile Assessment Services.
The meeting will include approval of minutes from nine previous sessions held in March and early April. Committee reports are scheduled from planning and zoning, the Community Development Authority, personnel, library, police, public works, ordinance, parks and gardens, finance, and revitalization committees. The finance committee will present bills and the March 2026 financial report.
A public presentation period, limited to two minutes per speaker, will precede the business items. The board also will review correspondence and may adjourn into closed session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) to discuss employment matters.
