The Town of Iola Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at the town hall on Depot Street in Iola, Wisconsin. Board members will review road maintenance and snowplowing plans, consider a date change for the November meeting, and schedule the public hearing for the 2025 levy and 2026 budget.
The meeting will begin with routine actions, including the call to order, reading of the open meeting statement, and approval of the agenda and minutes from the previous session. Following these standard items, the board will open the floor for public comments, giving residents a chance to raise community concerns or questions.
Under old business, the board will revisit ongoing discussions about town roads, tree trimming, and snowplowing contracts. The board is expected to evaluate current maintenance progress and determine whether additional trimming or snowplow readiness measures are needed before the winter season begins.
In new business, the board will consider moving the November meeting to Nov. 17, to avoid scheduling conflicts or accommodate holiday timing. Members will also set the date for the upcoming 2025 levy and 2026 budget hearing — a key step in finalizing the town’s financial planning for the year ahead.
The agenda also includes review and approval of the town’s financial books and checks, ensuring that current expenditures and records are in order.
