Iola Town Board to review roads, snowplow truck, and conditional use permit

The Town of Iola Board will convene its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, at the Iola Town Hall. The agenda will include discussion of road maintenance, the town’s snowplow truck, and a conditional use permit request, along with routine business items.

The evening will begin with a Plan Commission meeting to consider a conditional use permit application from RDA Hunt Club. The permit request will be reviewed by the commission before advancing to the full board later in the evening under new business.

Following the Plan Commission session, the Town Board will open its regular meeting with the reading of the open meeting statement, approval of the agenda, and review of the minutes from the prior meeting. A public comment period will then be offered to allow residents to address the board before formal business begins.

Under old business, the board will address ongoing road issues, a recurring topic of concern in town meetings. The board will also review matters concerning the town’s snowplow truck.

In new business, the board will return to the RDA Hunt Club’s conditional use permit request. The matter will be considered for approval or further action, depending on the recommendation from the Plan Commission earlier in the evening.

The meeting will also include the approval of town financials, with board members scheduled to review and approve the town’s books and checks before adjournment.
