Corey Landon

By Iola-Scandinavia School District

Corey Landon is married to his wife, Lexi, and they have a cat named Winx. Corey has two older sisters.

Corey graduated from Port Washington High School. He is a graduate of UW-Stevens Point with a bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education. Corey chose to work in a school because he believes music can change people’s lives. “I want to show students that and instill a love for music in their hearts.”

The farthest places he has traveled to are Australia and Dubai. In the U.S., his favorite places to visit have been New Orleans and Bozeman, Montana.

His hobbies include playing music on his saxophone or bass guitar, disc golf, playing board games, and cooking. He also enjoys making sourdough bread recipes with his wife.

Corey listens to a lot of different styles of music. A few of his favorite artists are jazz musicians such as Dexter Gordon and Miles Davis. Something you may not know, is that he really enjoys listening to heavy metal music!

His favorite book is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and his favorite movie Home Alone, he considers a classic. He also enjoys the movie, Saving Private Ryan.

Some other interests that Corey has are enjoying coffee, a nice breakfast, and watching Survivor with his wife. “We also enjoy spending time outside taking walks when the Wisconsin weather allows for it.”

He volunteers on his church’s worship team and enjoys being a part of that on some Sundays.

Thank you Corey for all that you do!
