“In my family we have never classified the word step. Family is family. So there is Kellie, Todd, Celeste, Jason, Joel, Stevie, Nicole, Erica, and Anna.”

Amy graduated from Carroll High School. She attended Long Technical College and graduated with a Medical Assistant degree.

She chose to work in a school because, being new to town it was a great way to meet the kids and the community members.

She has traveled to just a few states. Kentucky was the most recent in 2019.

She enjoys playing with her animals and going camping and tubing down rivers in the summer. She likes to read and do fill it in puzzles in her spare time.

Amy is also the manager of the Norseman Motel here in Iola. She lists her greatest accomplishments as her children! “I love seeing how much they have grown and how they are kind and helpful to others.”

On the weekends since Covid, she loves to catch up on TV, cook Sunday dinners, and play board games with her family. “Before Covid we would go to breakfast on the weekends, go shopping for the week, go to the movies, or go visit other family members out of town.”

Her favorite team is who else? The Green Bay Packers!

She likes to listen to Classic Rock and she reads anything by Danielle Steel. Her favorite movie is North and South.

Thank you Amy for all that you do!
