Amanda Kyle-Quashnick is married to her husband, Andrew. She is the youngest of 3 children.

Amanda graduated from Whitewater High School. She attended UW- Stevens Point 2016 and earned a Bachelors’ degree in

Biology and Environmental Education and Interpretation. She also earned a Bachelors’ degree in Natural Science Teaching from UW-Stevens Point 2018.

She chose to work in a school because “I absolutely loved my science teachers when I was young. Science is so engaging, and literally how the world works. Some people just want to watch the world learn.”

Amanda has done waterfall hunting around the Midwest and traveled to Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., in the past.

Her hobbies include hiking, biking, kayaking, knitting, quilting, sewing, reading, drinking coffee, cross-stitching, and learning.

Some of her other occupations include: Environmental Educator at Upham Woods Environmental Center in Wisconsin Dells; Pollinator Intern and Educator at Cable Natural History Museum Cable, Wisconsin; Grant Coordinator at Upham Woods; MobilizeGreen Environmental Educator with the U.S. Forest Service, Milwaukee Wisocnsin. She was also a lifeguard and food service manager.

Something you may not know about Amanda is that she loves listening to jazz!

On weekends, she does house chores, drinks coffee slowly, spends the morning reading, takes hikes or bike rides, and spends time with her husband.

Her favorite sports team is the Green Bay Packers and her favorite types of music are Indie, Jazz, Alternative, and Rock. Her favorite book is Behave: The Biology of Humans at our Best and Worst by Robert Sapolsky and her two favorite movies are Shawshank Redemption and Forrest Gump.
